Here's what you need to know

  1. Our Social Services Competency-Based Training (SSCBT) is on the brink of cancellation—only 1 person is registered. We need 15 participants by December 31 to keep this nationally recognized credentialing opportunity alive. SSCBT isn’t just another training—it strengthens the knowledge and skills of human service workers in social service agencies, child care, and Head Start programs across the country. Losing it means losing a proven pathway to elevate the professionals who serve families every day.
Register today and forward this email to a colleague who could benefit—your outreach could make the difference! Click here to download flyer.

  2. Don't miss the Office of Head Start on December 18 from 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.  for a webcast unveiling the FY26 Focus Area 2: Comprehensive Services Review. Explore how the FA2 approach will guide monitoring activities and equip programs with resources to strengthen comprehensive services. Take action now to prepare for implementation and ensure program success.
  3. ICYMI: The OHS FY26 Focus Area 1: Program Systems Review Information Session webinar premiered on December 16—and it’s packed with insights you won’t want to miss! Watch the on-demand recording here.  Download all slides and handouts here.  Visit Headstart.gov for official monitoring materials.
