  2. The FDA has authorized a 3-dose primary series of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine for children 6 months through 4 years of age. A 3-dose vaccination series is Authorized for Emergency Use in individuals 6 months through 4 years of age. The initial 2 doses are administered 3 weeks apart followed by a third dose administered at least 8 weeks after the second dose. CDC, updated June 17, 2022

Every state but Florida pre-ordered COVID-19 vaccines for kids under 5. press secretary for the Florida Department of Health, confirmed the department “chose not to participate” in the vaccination program because the state health department is not following federal public health recommendations.
