  1. Deadline to submit nominations for FHSA Annual Awards programs is quickly approaching.  Choose from 15 State and Regional Awards and 5 National Awards. We know you know deserving directors, front-line staff, teachers, parents, alumni, volunteers, and community partners who need to be recognized for their valiant efforts to keep going and their impact on their program, community, and family.

  2. Dr. Bernadine Futrell, Director of the Office of Head Start, announced yesterday she would be departing her role in June, turning the position to Katie Hamm, the deputy assistant secretary for early childhood education and development at the Administration for Children and Families, as acting director for the Office of Head Start until a new person is appointed. 3. Coming Full Circle on Staff Wellness During Unprecedented Times, Thursday, June 02, 2022, @ 2:00 p.m.  Join OHS and the National Center on Health, Behavioral Health, and Safety as they recap the focus on staff wellness efforts specific to the health and mental health leaders and consultants in programs and offer practical take-aways that are relevant for the well-being of all Head Start staff during these unprecedented times.

Please visit our COVID-19 Resource page, which is updated regularly, and the FHSA events list for more  information. If there is something else you need guidance on, let us know - we will continue to work with state agencies and partners to answer your questions.
