  1. Did you know December 9 is National Christmas Card Day? Check out these templates to make your own cards for the holiday season. Compliments of the National CACFP Sponsors Association.

  2. Don't forget to register to attend the National Center on Health, Behavioral Health, and Safety webinar, What Early Care and Education Staff Need To Know About COVID-19 Vaccines for Children Ages 5 to 11, Thursday, December 9 at 1:00 p.m. ET. This webinar will explore strategies to address parental concerns about vaccine safety and to support families in making informed decisions about choosing to vaccinate their children.

  3. Please join the U.S. Department of Education and the National Association for Family, School, and Community Engagement (NAFSCE) for an informational webinar for parents and family engagement practitioners to ask questions, share their ideas and concerns, and to get their questions answered regarding the official approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech age 5-11 vaccine. Please share this with your parents! COVID-19 Vaccines for School-Aged Children: What Parents and Families Should Know, Thursday, December 9 @ 8:00 p.m. ET.

Please visit our COVID-19 Resource page, which is updated regularly, and the FHSA events list for more information. If there is something else you need guidance on, let us know - we will continue to work with state agencies and partners to answer your questions.

Sincerely,

Wanda Minick
