Here's what you need to know

  1. The Division of Early Learning released its Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Program Assessment Requirements Handbook and F & Q's regarding Florida's VPK assessment guidelines. Teachstone CLASS® is the identified assessment tool. It requires providers to notify the Early Learning Coalition of their desire to provide VPK services and a contract minimum threshold of 4.00 to participate in the program. The document also outlines the scoring observation requirements.

  2. Use this checklist to ensure your transportation services are safe, cost-effective, and compliant with state and federal regulations. You can also use this checklist as part of your program's annual self-assessment and community assessment process. ECLKC, updated September 16, 2022

  3. Ask the Expert: Safe Infant Sleep Practices Thursday, September 29, 2022, @ 2:30 PM. Join the Office of Child Care’s National Center on Early Childhood Quality Assurance for their upcoming webinar answering your questions regarding safe infant sleep practices.

Please visit our COVID-19 Resource page, which is updated regularly, and the FHSA events list for more information. If there is something else you need guidance on, let us know - we will continue to work with state agencies and partners to answer your questions.

Sincerely,
