  1. Dear Colleague Letter on Social-Emotional Development and Mental Health, On June 14, 2022, ACF released a letter with recommendations and action steps to help early childhood systems work collaboratively to ensure that young children and their caregivers have access to high-quality resources that equitably support social-emotional development and mental health. The areas of focus are:

    I. Implement evidence-based practices that support positive social-emotional development and mental health for all children and wellness for every caregiver.


    II. Prioritize workforce wellness and enhance workforce capacity to identify and respond to children’s and families’ social-emotional and mental health needs.


    II. Leverage policy and funding to increase access to social-emotional and mental health support and reduce barriers to access.


    IV. Use data to promote equitable implementation and outcomes


  2. Upcoming rule workshops! A Rule Workshop for Rule 6M-8.620 Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Pre- and Post-Assessment Compliance will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 @ 10:00 a.m.

  3. A Rule Workshop for Rule 6M-8.621 Program Assessment Requirements for the Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Education Program will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 @1:00 p.m.
