  1. The Senate passed the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 on Sunday, which lacks critical funding for Head Start, Early Head Start, and early child education and care.   2. Steps Local Agencies Can Use to Determine Credential or Degree Equivalency, Head Start and Early Head Start agencies must ensure they have qualified staff per the Head Start regulations. The Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS) include equivalency provisions for some staff roles as part of the educational requirements.
