  1. August is a great time to invite local leaders, State Legislators, and Congressional members to your programs while they will be home in their states/districts. NHSA has some excellent resources to assist you with hosting Congressional Visits. You can also check out their Travel Free Advocacy Toolkit to plan a virtual tour. Of course, if you need any assistance, don't hesitate to contact FHSA. 

  2. NHSA Head Start Parent Engagement Call Wednesday, August 03, 2022, @ 7:00 p.m. NHSA will launch quarterly live calls for and with parents/caregivers to engage them on advocacy and making Head Start stronger! Take a moment to send this invitation to your programs and ask them to invite their Policy Council members.

  3. Strategies to Protect Young Children from COVID-19 webinar on Thursday, August 11, 2022 @ 1:00 p.m.Join the National Center on Health, Behavioral Health, and Safety to hear from an immunization expert about the latest information around vaccines for children younger than 5. This webinar also offers the newest guidance on strategies for promoting health and safety during the pandemic
