Here's what you need to know

  1. Congress Passes FY 2024 Budget. Congress got to work and passed the final FY2024 budget package, which President Biden signed into law. This package avoided a partial government shutdown and provided a $275 million increase for a Head Start cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), which amounts to approximately a 2.3% COLA.

  2. Is your program doing something innovative you want to share with your Head Start Colleagues? Consider taking action and submitting a presentation to speak at the FHSA Annual Conference on October 1-4, 2024, in Orlando. Let's elevate the Head Start Voice togetherClick here for details.

  3. FHSA is accepting nominations for its Annual Awards programs through June 3, 2024. Award recipients will be honored during the annual awards luncheon, which will be held at this year's Annual Conference & Expo. There are 19 opportunities to recognize Head Start/Early Head Start employees, parents, alums, volunteers, and community partners. Click here to learn more and get started.

Please visit our WYNTK resource webpage, for archived WYNTK and the FHSA events list for more information. If there is something else you need guidance on, let us know - we are happy to connect with you and learn how FHSA can serve you better.
