  1. Head Start/Early Head Start monitoring reviews are around the corner. OHS has released updated monitoring protocols and guidance for programs to consider as you prepare for Focus Area Two, beginning in October, followed by Focus Area One in NovemberClick here to watch the FY2023 Monitoring Kickoff. Take a moment to view the FY2023 Focus Area Two Monitoring Protocol released in September with no significant changes. There are a few additions to the protocol, and some sections and data questions from last year have been streamlined.

  2. 45% of early childhood educators report high burnout, stress, Early childhood educators working in family childcare settings or Early Head Start were the least likely to report access to professional development, K-12 Dive, October 10, 2022

  3. Using the RBCs to Promote Family Well-being professional development. This resource explores strengthening the well-being of families and children. It lists the specific knowledge and skills needed when focusing on the family well-being aspect of this competency. ECLKC, updated October 11, 2022
