| Here's what you need to know |
- World Children’s Day: “It is the responsibility of every adult… to make sure that children hear what we have learned from the lessons of life and to hear over and over that we love them and that they are not alone.” — Marian Wright Edelman
Today, we celebrate the rights, voices, and dreams of children everywhere. Head Start programs are uniquely positioned to uplift this mission every day. Here are 3 powerful resources to share with your teams: -UNICEF’s World Children’s Day Toolkit – Activities and ideas to engage children in advocacy and celebration. -Zero to Three: Promoting Resilience in Young Children – Practical strategies for building emotional strength and connection. -Head Start.gov – Tools for supporting infant and early childhood mental health in Head Start settings.
- Head Start Mental Health Workgroup. Join FHSA and FAIMH on Monday, Dec. 8 at 10:00 a.m. for a new workgroup supporting Head Start Mental Health Managers and staff. Connect, collaborate, and share best practices to serve children, families, and teams better.
- Curious about SSCBT? Join us Monday, December 15, at noon for a free Info Session to learn what it’s all about! Hear directly from trainer DiAnca Rogers and past participants as they share insights, answer questions, and help you decide if SSCBT is right for you.
Please visit our WYNTK resource webpage, for archived WYNTK and FHSA events for more information. If there is something else you need guidance on, let us know - we are happy to connect with you and learn how FHSA can serve you better.
Sincerely,
Wanda Minick Executive Director FHSA
