Here's what you need to know

  1. FHSA Call for Presenters is open through April 30, 2024. If you have an innovative idea to share and are a dynamic individual who can energize the Head Start workforce, consider submitting a presentation. Click here for details.

  2. Head Start Expansion, Early Head Start Expansion, and Early Head Start-Child Care Partnership Grants. The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Head Start (OHS) announces the availability of approximately $102 million to be competitively awarded to expand access to high-quality, comprehensive services to low-income infants, toddlers, and their families through Early Head Start-Child Care (EHS-CC) Partnerships, or the expansion of Head Start services and/or Early Head Start services. ACF is interested in targeting this competition to reach areas of greatest need with children living in high-poverty neighborhoods (defined for this NOFO as neighborhoods where 30% or more of the population live in poverty). Deadline is May 14, 2024.

  3. Join the Discovery Source: Problem-Solving and Solution Kit! webinar on Thursday, March 28, 2024 @ 1:00 PM ET. This session provides ideas and key points to help children learn that conflicts can be resolved when adults intentionally model and scaffold children through effective problem-solving strategies.

Please visit our WYNTK resource webpage, for archived WYNTK and the FHSA events list for more information. If there is something else you need guidance on, let us know - we are happy to connect with you and learn how FHSA can serve you better.

Sincerely,
