Here's what you need to know

  1. Take Action: House “Dear Colleague” Letters on Head Start Funding. Bipartisan “Dear Colleague” letters are moving now as FY27 funding talks kick off. This is a prime moment to remind Congress that Head Start is indispensable to children and families in your communities. Add your voice and help keep Head Start front and center as appropriations take shape.

  2. Join our colleagues at The Children's Movement of Florida for their All in for Early Learning: Laying the Foundation for Future Success webinar on Friday, March 27 from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM EDT. The webinar will walk through Florida’s Early Learning Roadmap—built with input from nearly 1,000 parents, educators, and leaders—and highlight strategies that strengthen outcomes from birth to age five. It’s a great opportunity to see how statewide priorities align with the comprehensive, family‑centered approach Head Start delivers every day.

  3. The Division of Early Learning will hold a rules development workshop on Thursday, April 2 from 10–11 AM EDT to review updates to Rule 6M‑4.500: Child Attendance and Provider Reimbursements. The proposed revisions add new eligibility criteria for School Readiness providers seeking to obtain or maintain the special needs differential reimbursement. Click here to view notice.
