  1. FHSA is accepting nominations for its Annual Awards programs. There are 19 opportunities to recognize Head Start/Early Head Start employees, parents, alums, volunteers, and community partners.  The deadline is June 3, 2024. Click here to learn more.

  2. Tax Assistance Alert! The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will open 5 Taxpayer Assistance Centers (TACs) in Florida on Saturday, March 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to provide free in-person help with your taxes. The cities include Jacksonville, Miami, Planton/Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa, and West Palm Beach. Click here to learn more. 
     
  3. Child Care Health Consultation Webinar Series: Using Health Literacy Principles in Early Childhood Programs, Wednesday, March 27 @ 1:00 PM, ET. Join the National Center on Health, Behavioral Health, and Safety for this webinar, which will explore how childcare health consultants (CCHCs) can use health literacy principles to develop policies and procedures and help programs create training materials and resources for staff and families to promote healthy and safe behaviors.
