Here's what you need to know

  1. ICYMI: Understanding the Full Enrollment Initiative. This July 1 webinar unpacked the Office of Head Start’s FEI process—from TA plans to waivers and slot recapture—providing practical guidance for impacted grantees navigating evolving requirements.

  2. You Asked, We Listened: The FHSA Awards Nomination Deadline has been extended to July 22, 2025. Let’s not miss this chance to honor the heart and hustle behind Head Start—those everyday champions whose passion lifts children, families, shaping futures, and strengthens communities. Take advantage of the extra time to share their stories and make sure their impact is seen, felt, and celebrated statewide.

  3. Raise Your Voice for Head Start! Gather your community partners, businesses, and leaders in your community to help protect and strengthen Head Start. NHSA has created a sign-on letter urging strong funding to support Head Start staff, uplift families, and meet urgent local needs. Deadline to sign on is July 15. Use this email template to encourage sign-on.

Please note: Our office will be closed on Friday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
We’ll be back to work on Monday, July 7.

Please visit our WYNTK resource webpage, for archived WYNTK and FHSA events for more information. If there is something else you need guidance on, let us know - we are happy to connect with you and learn how FHSA can serve you better.

Sincerely,

Wanda Minick
