Here's what you need to know

  1. Got expertise? We want it. FHSA 2026 Annual Conference & Expo Call for Presentation is Officially Open. Submit your session for Stronger Together and help shape Florida’s early learning future. Deadline: May 11. Sales‑focused submissions will not be accepted.

  2. Celebrate Excellence: FHSA’s 2026 Award Nominations are now open. Help us honor the outstanding staff, parents, and leaders who make a difference in Head Start every day.  The FHSA Awards Committee will host a Q & A Lunch & Learn on May 6 to get tips from the Awards Committee on crafting a strong, compelling nomination. Bring your questions — or submit them in the Questions & Comments field. Learn more about award categories and deadlines here.

  3. Congratulations to Florida’s 2026 GroMoreGood Garden Grant Recipients! FHSA is proud to celebrate two Florida programs selected for this year’s GroMoreGood Garden Grants: Economic Opportunities Council of Indian River County (Vero Beach) and You Thrive Florida (Brooksville). These grants support hands‑on garden learning, healthy eating, and outdoor exploration for Head Start children and families. Click here to read NHSA’s press release.
