Is your state, territory, or tribe collecting data to make quick decisions about delivering early care and education in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic? Then please join us for a webinar aiming to support Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) lead agency staff, their research partners, and others in data-based decisionmaking when quick decisions are needed and data are limited. Speakers will share a framework for doing rapid analyses and specific examples of data-based decisions on school or child care openings and needed supports in California, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. You will learn tips for defining a decision, identifying possible solutions, and using available data to inform a path forward.

This webinar is hosted by the Child Care Research and Evaluation Capacity Building Center, with support from the Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation, Administration for Children and Families. It is the second in a series of webinars, Building CCDF Lead Agencies’ Capacities to Use Data to Inform Policy Responses to COVID-19.

The speakers will be as follows:

  • Jesse Chandler, Data Analytics Lead, Education and Employment Division, Mathematica
  • Brian Gill, Senior Fellow, Education and Employment Division, Mathematica
  • Gretchen Kirby; Senior Researcher; Children, Youth, and Families Division; Mathematica
