The Quality of Caregiver-Child Interactions for Infants and Toddlers (Q-CCIIT) observation tool is now available to the Head Start community. It collects information about caregivers' interactions with children up to age 36 months. Like other adult-child observation tools, Q-CCIIT data can be used to support teachers and family child care providers in:

  • Engaging in positive and nurturing interactions
  • Building children's cognitive skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Enhancing language and literacy development

The Q-CCIIT is a voluntary tool. The Q-CCIIT was developed through a project federally funded by the Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation and the Office of Head Start in the Administration for Children and Families (ACF). This webinar on the Q-CCIIT is sponsored by Mathematica and offered for your information only.

Topics for the webinar include:

  • An introduction to the Q-CCIIT Tool
  • How Q-CCIIT can be used by program administrators, professional development providers, researchers, and others
  • Upcoming observer training opportunities
