Join the Office of Head Start (OHS) in celebrating the early care and education (ECE) workforce during Care Workers Recognition Month. The event takes place during Care Week, April 18–25, 2024, and builds on important actions we've taken over the past year to support the ECE workforce.

To celebrate the anniversary of the President’s Executive Order on Increasing Access to High-Quality Care and Supporting Caregivers, the Biden-Harris Administration announced a Month of Action on Care  during April 2024’s Care Workers Recognition Month to recognize the progress made to make care more affordable for American families and boost compensation and job quality for care workers.

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will host a roundtable with Head Start educators across the country. RSVP to hear leaders from the Office of Early Childhood Development (ECD) discuss the essential role that Head Start staff play in providing high-quality early education and care to our country’s most vulnerable children.
