Data shows that as Head Start families adjust to life after the pandemic, there is opportunity to increase participation and engagement in the Special Supplemental Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. Head Start and WIC programs have a common goal of improving nutrition outcomes for young children and families. This webinar will discuss opportunities for Head Start and WIC programs to collaborate to increase family engagement within both programs. Learn about strategies to help families become and stay involved in WIC and how WIC and Head Start programs can coordinate professional development opportunities for Head Start nutrition and health staff. Speakers will include representatives from a local Head Start program and a WIC agency discussing how they were able to collaborate to improve program coordination and service delivery.
