Where children and families live, work, play, and connect with others impacts their health. This webinar explores how child care health consultants (CCHCs) can apply principles of health equity and cultural competence to address health disparities. Health disparities are the differences in health outcomes caused by inequities between different groups of people. CCHCs address these disparities by collaborating with early childhood education programs to meet the physical health, mental health, and social services needs of the staff, children, and families. They also encourage relationships with and access to community resources for families.
