Please join this webinar, hosted by the Administration for Children and Families Office of Early Childhood Development at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor, and the U.S. Department of Education, to highlight opportunities and examples of successful approaches to leveraging apprenticeships to bolster the early care and education (ECE) workforce and address critical shortages.

Speakers will:

  • Provide background on the potential of apprenticeship models to address workforce shortages and build the infrastructure needed to professionalize the ECE workforce;
  • Highlight important components of registered ECE apprenticeship models, including compensation and degree or credential attainment;
  • Discuss steps to becoming a registered apprenticeship model, and how to partner with workforce agencies and other state and local partners to expand and enhance registered ECE apprenticeships;
  • Highlight national, state, and local registered ECE apprenticeship models, as well as federal technical assistance and financial resources available to support apprenticeships.

This webinar will benefit anyone in ECE, workforce, or higher education sectors who is working to address staffing shortages or support their ECE staff, including those working in Head Start and Early Head Start programs, and other ECE settings.
