Please join the Region IV T/TA Network for this free 2 1/2-day event addressing appropriate child guidance, classroom management and staff wellness. Topics will include child incident prevention and adverse childhood experiences with an overview of best practices for child health, mental health, and safety. The sessions will share tips on building positive-goal oriented relationships with families and overcoming barriers or reluctance for engagement. Strategies for recognizing signs of trauma and atypical behavior within infants and toddlers will be included with approaches to building a resiliency plan for staff and families. Conscious Discipline and the Pyramid Model will be introduced to enhance positive behavior management strategies and classroom structures that participants can use to turn everyday situations into learning opportunities. Participants will also build on shared knowledge and experiences related to racial and ethnic equity and staff wellness. Practitioners across the nation will offer lively general and breakout sessions to engage participants in vulnerable conversations and peer exercises.
