FHSA State Award Winners Recognized at the Regional Level

From Florida to the Region: Celebrating Excellence in Head Start

Tallahassee, FL —The Florida Head Start Association (FHSA) proudly celebrates its State Award winners who have advanced to receive regional recognition from the Region IV Head Start Association (RIVHSA). First honored during FHSA’s Annual Awards Luncheon on October 29, 2025, at the FHSA Annual Conference, these outstanding leaders, staff, parents, and partners now shine on the regional stage for their remarkable contributions to children and families across Florida.

RIVHSA Regional Award Winners from Florida

  • Administrator of the Year: Brigette Davis, Children First, Inc.
  • Teacher of the Year: Celeste Rotan, School Board of Brevard County
  • Support Staff of the Year: Rani Panchanathan, Miami Dade County CAHSD, Head Start/Early Head Start
  • Oral Health Award: Ashley Ravelo, Monroe County School District Head Start
  • Corporate Award: The Gift of Swimming, Orange County Head Start
  • Scholarship – Head Start Staff: Kacie Hull, Children First, Inc.
  • Scholarship – Head Start Parent: J’Myia Wright, Children First, Inc.

  • Edward Zigler Innovation Award: Brevard Zoo
  • Vanessa Rich Leadership Award: Tanya Stone, You Thrive Florida
  • Aubrey Puckett Memorial Award: Kathia Nunez, You Thrive Florida

We are proud to see their impact recognized at the regional level.”

FHSA looks forward to celebrating all winners and finalists during the RIVHSA 2026 Awards Gala on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. EST at the Omni Atlanta at Centennial Park – Grand Ballroom.
