The Office of Child Care’s (OCC) National Center on Subsidy Innovation and Accountability (NCSIA) is excited to continue hosting the National Program Integrity Webinar Series in fiscal year (FY) 2020. These national webinars highlight Lead Agency strategies that support the use of internal controls and fraud prevention efforts in their Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) program. The benefits of program integrity and fraud prevention strategies continue to be of national interest, and as stewards of public funds, states and territories have a responsibility to increase their programs’ accountability measures.

The content for this webinar is based on feedback from our December 2019 webinar and on requests for more detailed information on program integrity strategies. We will dig deeper into the tools available to assess program risk and to detect and prevent fraud in your program.

The webinar will highlight specific state strategies from the most current state plan submissions and will invite state representatives to share more information about the strategies used in their programs. North Carolina’s Lead Agency will share information about its monitoring efforts with regard to child care provider billing records and the program’s eligibility processes. Information on the latest section added to the CCDF Fraud Toolkit will also be provided.

Who Should Participate

CCDF administrators, program integrity and quality assurance staff members, and policy and budget analysts are all encouraged to participate in the webinar and to engage in the discussion.
